The Ashanti Regional Police Command has successfully apprehended three suspects linked to the robbery and murder of two mobile money vendors in the region, according to a press release dated 25th March, 2025.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Charles Kwame Danso, 23, also known as “Kwame Charles” or “Miami”, Philip Foujour, 29, and Samuel Addae Mensah, 42. They were arrested on 21st March, 2025 at Pankrono and Atimatim respectively.
The incidents
According to the police statement, the first incident occurred on Thursday, 13th February, 2025 at Kroforom around noon, where the victim, Patricia Nimako, tragically lost her life alongside a sum of money during the robbery.
The second incident took place on the night of Monday, 10th March, 2025, when the victim, Gideon Owusu Sarpong, alias “Junior”, was robbed and murdered at his residence in Kwadaso.
