The National Sports Authority (NSA) has verified that Ghana is prepared to host the forthcoming AFCON 2025 qualifier against Sudan.
Seth Panwum, Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority, has stated that both the Accra and Cape Coast Sports Stadiums are fully prepared and ready to host the event. The National Sports Authority faced widespread criticism after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) barred the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium from holding qualifications due to its unusable surface. This resulted in the termination of the appointments of Dodzie Numekevor, Director General of the National Sports Authority, and Kwame Baa Mensah, Ashanti Regional Director of the National Sports Authority. The authorities have yet to finalise a location for the game, but the NSA is dedicated to providing the greatest facilities and assistance for all sporting events in Ghana.
