The Guinness Book of Records has rejected Afua Asantewaa Aduonnum for her effort to break the longest singing marathon.
Afua Asantewaa embarked on a five-day singing marathon that began at midnight on Sunday, December 24 and ended at 7:00 a.m. on December 29, 2024.
By the end of her record attempt on Friday morning, Afua had sang continuously for five days, six hours, and 55 minutes.
But, after months of conjecture and waiting on tenterhooks, GWR says Afua’s attempt was unsuccessful.
“We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts,” the GWR wrote in a tweet on February 23.
