The former Aston Villa manager believes that English international, Harry Maguire shouldn’t be left on the beach and perhaps deserves  to be in the starting eleven.

Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Manchester United’s Manager Erik Ten Hag that his former captain shouldn’t warm the bench and must quickly be added to United’s starting eleven since players like Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are not playing as expected.

He added that, people on social media would’ve  slaughtered Maguire if he had made similar mistakes Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane made in the game against Nothingham Forest last Saturday.

Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Aston Villa manager added that Manchester united can not play the Champions League with such performance and hence needs to improve as soon as possible.

Agbonlahor said, “Varane and Martinez. I mean, get Harry Maguire, get all the sticks from me, bring him back in! The way Manchester United are playing now, this was Maguire playing like Varane and Martinez; he’d be getting slaughtered on social media.

The former England International slummed the two players and believes the red devils would face humiliation if similar display against Nothingham Forest is to be carried on into the UEFA champions league.

He ended by saying that “you don’t go into the UEFA champions league with this display, you will suffer a humiliating defeat.
