Vinícius José Paixão de Oliveira Júnior (born 12 July 2000), commonly known as Vinícius Júnior or Vini Jr. is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Brazil national team.
The winger joined realmadrid from Flamengo in the year 2017 and has since shown to the entire football fraternity his capabilities.
In an interview with Spanish New paper L’Equipe, Vini hinted that he could leave the Spanish side despite the renewal of his contract with 16 times champions league winners.
The Brazilian is close to agreeing to a new long-term contract with the La Liga giants.
“I think I could stay here my whole career.
“But the club of my life is Flamengo. I promised my father that I would come back one day. I have to keep this promise,” Vinicius said.
Vinicius left Flamengo as a 17-year-old after just two seasons in the first team.
He endured a difficult few seasons in Madrid before emerging as one of the leading talents of his generation.
The Brazilian is expected to even win the Ballon d’Or with realmadrid in the near future and aslo go ahead to fill the gap in which Cristiano Ronaldo left in the club.
