The excitement at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games continues to build across all sports, particularly in athletics, where the energy is palpable. In the women’s 4x100m relay heats, Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire will proudly represent Africa.
Côte d’Ivoire will compete in the first heat, running in lane nine against formidable teams from Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Australia, the USA, Germany, and Poland. Their relay order will be Ahoure, Gbai, Kone, and Ta Lou.
Nigeria will face stiff competition in the second heat, racing against Trinidad and Tobago, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Canada, and Jamaica. Their baton will pass from Eyakopbeyan to Ofili, Chukwuma, and finally to Godbless.
The top three teams from each heat will automatically advance to the final, with the two fastest losing teams in either heat will also secure a place in the final.
