Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has reassured Ghana’s youth that the country’s future remains promising despite its current challenges.
In a heartfelt Christmas message delivered on Tuesday, Bagbin emphasized Ghana’s enduring legacy as a democratic leader and a source of inspiration across Africa.
“Please, the youth, more importantly, the future is bright. I can assure you that Ghana is on the right path. We still remain the beacon of hope, the beacon of democracy, and the country that our colleagues on the African continent are looking up to. Ghana is still seen as the Mecca of the Black race,” Bagbin affirmed.
Reflecting on the nation’s progress, Bagbin acknowledged past missteps but highlighted the significance of Ghana’s 32-year journey in multiparty democracy as a foundation for its global recognition.
“We might have faulted, but people still look up to us. Particularly as we have maintained this multiparty democracy for 32 good years. The fact that we are being eulogized by other countries is something that will fulfill and keep our spirit in a good mood to go on,” he added.

“I want to take this opportunity again to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. May the good Lord continue to bless all of us and keep our nation greater and stronger,” he said.
Bagbin’s message serves as a reminder of hope and determination as Ghana continues its journey towards progress and stability.
