Renowned Reggae and Dancehall artist, Livingstone Etse Satekla, known widely as Stonebwoy, has revealed a newfound understanding that high achievers often face relentless criticism.
Stonebwoy, a celebrated Afro-Dancehall superstar, has frequently been targeted by fellow musician Shatta Wale, the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker, in the competitive music industry. Despite attempts to settle their differences, Shatta Wale continues to openly criticize his colleagues, particularly through social media.
In an interview on Onua TV, Stonebwoy shared that he has become accustomed to these personal attacks and has learned to overlook them. “What I do when I’m attacked as a musician is that I ignore the attacks and focus on the prize. I pray for divine discernment in order to know when to talk and when not to talk. What I know is that it is only a ripe fruit that will be plucked,” he stated.
Stonebwoy has recently released his sixth album, titled Up & Running, featuring the hit song ‘Jejereje’.
