Efia Odo has candidly reflected on her experiences in the entertainment industry, particularly regarding her relationships with others in the field.

In a recent discussion, the actress shared her belief that connections within the industry are often driven by business interests rather than genuine friendship. She cited that, in her view, people in the industry tend to use each other primarily for professional gain, rather than forming true, lasting bonds.

“I feel like this industry, there’s no friendship in this industry. It’s more of acquaintances, business associates, It’s not really friendship. Maybe one or two people but in reality, it’s always been like what you can do for me and what I can do for you,” she explained during an appearance on 3FM Lounge on Wednesday, August 14.

Efia Odo also spoke about her personal approach to relationships within the industry, stating that she does not force friendships and sees little value in maintaining superficial connections.“What’s the point in faking it? For me, I have people who I am close to and cool with and after that we go our separate ways…I think I have also learnt a lot about trying to be friends with people in this industry but it’s good,” she said.
